Scope and Contents
From the Record Group:
The records of the College of Arts and Sciences document the college curriculum and departmental changes from 1962 when the college assumed a liberal arts program. It dates 1910-2024, bulk 1966-1980 and 2004-2019. They include minutes, newsletters, correspondence, reports, budgets, and administrative papers. The records are arranged in 27 series. Overview
Social Welfare began as an offered course in 1972 and became a department and major in the School of Behavioral and Social Sciences in the 1973/74 academic year. By 1978, The Social Welfare Department was orphaned. The series contains correspondence, meeting minutes, etc. Box 1, Folder 6 includes some materials that are restricted in a white folder marked “restricted.”
