Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series: Sub-series 3 contains memorabilia, documents, newspapers, photographs, magazines, books, China, and clothing for the Greek social fraternity Theta Chi. The fraternity was originally known as Gamma Gamma, or -eta Omicron Chapter, and became a member of Theta Chi Feb 10, 1968. The chapter’s present name is Zeta Omicron and was reinstated in November 2019 after becoming a colony in 2017 following 30 years of absence on campus. Box 1, Folder 1 contains a pledge student’s folder that has basic information about the fraternity’s history, code of conduct, chapter brothers, and The Resolute Man Guide for new pledges. Folder 3 holds newspaper clippings including Theta Chi becoming a National Charter in 1967 and their suspension from Shippensburg in 1968. Folder 5 contains The Rattle magazines. Folder 9 contains manuals. Folder 10 contains an Alumni Directory for the 125th Anniversary. This sub-series contains damaged items.
