Overview

This series is divided into 5 Sub-Series: Sub-Series 1 (Administration), Sub-Series 2 (Bookstore), Sub-Series 3 (Student Groups), Sub-Series 4 (Cora I. Grove Spiritual Center), and Sub-Series 5 (Student Events). The University Union and Student Activities embodies other areas of student interests, but these sub-series listed above best represent the documents of the collection according to the 2019 Organizational Chart. The name changed in 2019 to Campus Life & The Ceddia Union Building. The Ceddia Union Building at Shippensburg University serves as the University Union and Student Activities Center. "The CUB strives to enrich the lives of students, members of the university and surrounding communities through educational opportunities, a variety of services as well as co-curricular programming." (https://www.ship.edu/cub/) The CUB originally stood for the Cumberland Union Building, but was changed to the Ceddia Union Building after the retirement of Dr. Anthony Ceddia to honor his legacy. Most of the sub-series in this record group are small except for Sub-Series 3 (Student Groups), which is the largest of the series. Sub-Series 3, Box 3a, Folder 8 contains a recognition plaque. APB in Sub-Series 3 is an acronym for Activities Program Board. The collection contains mostly correspondence, memos, and event flyers.
